Post Lockdown Wedding Dress Shopping at The Bottom Drawer Bridal

Here we are then, in the final countdown of lockdown!

Just counting down these last few days in which I will then no longer be stuck at home and able to be in the boutique to help all you amazing women find the wedding dress of your dreams!

Now many of you have asked so many questions over the last few weeks, so I thought I should get all the answers together in one place for you… and make life that little bit easier for us all…

If you have any further questions that aren’t listed below, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

When will you be open for appointments?

All being well, as long as Boris says its ok, the boutique will be reopen from 10am on the 12th April. Appointments are already extremely limited for the remainder of April and May weekends are filling up fast.

When should I book my appointment?

If you are planning on walking down the aisle in 2021 then please get your appointment booked in as soon as possible, if you are getting married in 2022 then booking your appointment for the summer months is going to be more than enough time.

How safe will the boutique be?

Obviously I can never promise you that the boutique is a covid free zone, but along with your help, I can do my absolute best to ensure the boutique is as safe as can be all while providing you with the same, wonderful experience you would expect.

Time between appointments remains extended for the time being to ensure that all touch points can be properly cleaned as well as any dresses tried on can be sanitised (and steamed, if needed)

Can I still bring some guests with me?

Of course you can, there is enough space in the boutique for you and up to 2 guests, although I must ask that, in line with government guidelines, they are from your household or support bubble. Arrangements have been made to add more guests to your entourage virtually, but I must add, from a brides point of view, appointments with less guests are far more enjoyable!

Do I have to wear a face mask even when trying on the dresses?

The simple answer is Yes. I must ask that you and your guests wear your masks throughout your appointment. I will also be wearing my mask throughout the appointment.

Will I be able to browse through the dresses?

Of course. We will have a good chat before your appointment and I will have a small collection ready for you to try when you arrive, but should we find these arent working then of course you can have a little peruse to see if there’s any you may have overlooked.

Will you have shoes for me to try with the dresses?

I do yes, but if you could bring your own then that would be fabulous. We can always have a play with the accessories when the time comes for your ‘Try and Pay’ appointment

Will you have a dressing gown for me to wear between dresses?

I do, they will also be santised between appointments and fully washed at the end of each day.

Will you be serving any drinks?

Of course I will be, it wouldn’t be a trip to The Bottom Drawer Bridal otherwise!

Can I bring my children?

Apologies but this is going to be a no. To ensure we are able to remain socially distant within the boutique I am asking that you bring no more than 2 guests with you and that these guests are 16 years or over. As a mother myself, of course I think my daughter would love to be part of the experience with me, but I know it wouldn’t be long untill she got bored, and also as a mother I can fully appreciate having time away from your children, and buying your wedding dress should 100% be one of those times were you need to be child and distraction free!

I’ve got some symptoms, but i don’t think it’s COVID-19. Can I still come to my appointment?

The simple answer here is no, I would ask that you rearrange your appointment for a later date once you are symptom free and have the all clear.

I don’t have any symptoms, but someone I met with in the past 14 days now has symptoms that could be COVID-19. Can I still come to my appointment?

Again I would say No, I would again ask you to rearrange for a later date.

I apologise for any inconvience this may cause but I must do what I can to ensure that you and your guests enjoy your appointment in a safe environment and that also I am protecting myself and my family. Should I become ill or have to self isolate then the boutique closes and no one would be able to have their appointment.

Sorry if any of the answers here aren’t what you was looking for, but as restrictions lift throughout the start of the summer, I hopefully will be able to lift some in the boutique too!

If you have any further questions about your appointment, please do not hesitate to get in touch and in the meantime, here’s to getting through the next couple of weeks and seeing you all very soon.

All my love

Victoria xx
